Hey Mie,
You guys have been having a blast for days!!! Ummm, how can I tie something in? I live in Oregon and your friend is from there? But I'm from BC -- Mike's Karen knew people that I knew -- I just wanted to small world it for you. I like that feeling so I thought you would. Great that you and Dav are gonna go to BM, fun. Okay, okay I have a qustion... How would you say/write down-to-earth & says it like it is in Japanese?

I love small world connections. I actually lived in OR for a total of 5 years. Went to college in Ptld.

Regarding your question...
down-to-earth [person]- this is hard...maybe 竹を割ったような人(take wo watta youna hito)
says it like it is - ありのままに言う。(arinomama ni iu), 本音をいう (honne wo iu)

I dunno. Anyone have something better? Translation is sooo hard cuz each language is just too different you know.

Hope it helps.
