more simul-blogging

I was called a geek for the first time in my life (by Paul, no less). I love it! First simul-blog is Carsten (with fancy decoration experimentation thrown in). Second is that DomoDomo guy.

Hmm, what happened to the top of that photo? I see you finally posted a pic using one of those cool borders though.

I'm not sure if you qualify as 'geek' yet, but I think you beat everyone else to posting; I'm not finding any other moblogger postings on my usual japan bloggers clickabout.

What exactly does "Booh-yah" mean? I thought it had something to do with sports or military or something silly like that.

Oh here, I just looked it up on some online slang dictionary:

booyah interj Told you so! 2001 8th grade male Tabor Middle School Warner Robins GA We don’t have any homework. Yes we do. Booyah!

Hmm, I still don't get it. Damn I'm old.

YOu were called a geek for the first time!? Wow... late bloomer I guess ;-) I had a big (drunken) debate with my friend lately about what defines a geek. I said he is one because he has a freaking web server in his apartment. But he insisted as long as he viewed computer in a purely business/professional sens he is not a geek. Whereas I have a geniun interest in computers and technology. He also takes it as a bad thing to be, where as I don't. So what do you think Mie? Are you one?

Too bad I had to miss this meet-up. (I had to study for a final in my Japanese class) I'll be sure to make it to the next one.

What exactly does "Booh-yah" mean? I thought it had something to do with sports or military or something silly like that. Maybe I watched too much MTV back in the states. Not only does it carry the connotation of "I have won" but often times "I have done something superior." Also it has carries a non-literal language remainder of impactive excitement with it's "boo" syllable. In this case, booyah means: I have uploaded my photos in a timely manner mad representing a new trend in mobile blogging, would you expect anyless? (boo-yah!).

Brian,
Nah, I can't really accept 'geek' as much as I'd like to (don't think it's bad at all, by the way). I just like blogging and I like my phone. That's about it...I find the possibilities of technology fascinating, but I'm more the type to sit back and watch it come to me.

Ian, good to see you too!

Stuart, thanks for the links. I *still* didn't get to chat with you like I thought, but we'll have another time...

According to my unimpeachable authorities on such things, Samoan rappers Boo-Yaa T.R.I.B.E. related circa 1990 that the sound is onomotopoeia for the sound of a saw'd-off shotgun discharging.
